Dr. Haley Schimmer, ND

I received my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine in 2022 from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology Pre-Physical Therapy with a minor in Art from Humboldt State University in 2012.

During my clinical internship, I completed a one-year specialized rotation in gastrointestinal health with Dr. Stephen Sandberg Lewis, ND. I also completed extra training and coursework in the subject of Homeopathy. While studying naturopathic medicine in Portland, I earned a certificate in Craniosacral Therapy through Moving Mountain Institute as well as a Holistic Pelvic Floor Therapy certification with Naturopathic Women’s Health specialist, Dr. Kathryn Kloos, ND. I am also a certified yoga instructor which I earned in 2017 through the Karuna School of Yoga in Nicaragua.

As a Lake Tahoe Native and Californian, I enjoy activities in nature including skiing, swimming, hiking, biking, and surfing. I also enjoy teaching and practicing yoga, painting/drawing, and am an avid lover of food. I follow ancestral practices of eating and cooking inspired by the Weston Price Foundation. During my free time, you can find me nerding out to the Wise Traditions podcast listening to their latest topics of health and wellness.

Areas of focus include gastrointestinal and digestive health, adrenal/thyroid/endocrinology, dermatological, physical medicine/musculoskeletal, depression/anxiety/ADD/ADHD mental health, cardiac/metabolic, pediatrics, autoimmune disorders, women’s health + men’s health, craniosacral and holistic pelvic floor therapy.
